Poynt for Android is an award-winning local search application that lets you find and connect with businesses, movies, restaurants, people and events near you whenever and wherever you need them. Poynt allows you to interact with your search through placing calls to businesses, mapping directions, viewing showtimes and movie trailers or reserving a table at a local restaurant.
Poynt for Android enables users to add a Top Ten Movie widget to their homescreen for quick access to previews, film synopsis', local movie times and locations. Android users can also use voice-activation to search businesses, restaurants, movies and events in their local area.
GPS and WiFi capabilities mean that you do not have to enter your search location; finding the nearest theatre or restaurant is as easy as one click. If you want to search from a different location, you can simply select any location you choose. Poynt’s ease of use means more time in the day available for you to do the things you choose.
Poynt has 6 different search verticals:

· Gas Prices (US ONLY) – view best prices by grade or stations nearby; click-to-call; get directions; view station amenities; send details to contacts
· Events – search by category, venue, performer, event or nearby; get directions; send details to contacts; add events to calendar
