Perugia-Dakar - La Perugia-Dakar nasce dall'idea dei Vigili del Fuoco motociclisti, Alessandro Bacci ed Emanuele Cruciani. Dopo essersi cimentati nelle avventure di Capo Nord nel 2004, Pechino nel 2005 e Terra Santa nel 2009 faranno conoscere i compiti ed il ruolo sociale svolto dal Corpo al quale appartengono anche in Africa.
La partenza avverra il 29 gennaio alle ore 9:30 da Piazza IV Novembre a Perugia, in occasione della festa del patrono della citta. Dopo il saluto delle autorita, stampa, parenti e amici partiranno alla volta della Francia.
Il primo appuntamento ufficiale sara a Dakar presso la sede UNICEF. Nel Mali si fermeranno a Markala, presso una scuola dell'associazione perugina BAOBAB ONLUS, che si occupa dell'istruzione di circa duecento bambini. Passeranno due giorni in questa scuola e la loro particolare lezione sulla sicurezza sara un diversivo per gli alunni.
Il giro di boa sara Timbuctu, da li¬ proseguiranno ancora a Est nel Niger per poi risalire a Nord sfruttando la pista che attraversa l'Algeria passando per Tamanrasset. Nel Nord del paese entreranno in Tunisia per riprendere la via di casa.
I km previsti saranno circa 18.000 in 50 giorni, con la speranza di essere di nuovo nello stesso punto di partenza il 19 Marzo alle ore 11:00.
