Installed on a tablet or a smartphone, this component relies on the native BlackBerry environment to allow mobile users to interact with BUSINESS FIRST (see www.w4.eu) or LEONARDI (see www.leonardi-free.org) applications deployed on a server.
With these two software suites BUSINESS FIRST and LEONARDI are offered by W4, you can create and execute in a very productive way fit to purpose business apps. They include modeling and connection to all kinds of data (DBMS, EDI, LDAP, flat files, proprietary connectors…), as well as GUI creation and configuration, behavior specialization as well as the definition of enterprise processes (BPM). Display services include standalone apps (Java/Swing), web clients (HTML5/JQuery) and, from now on, BlackBerry based devices.
With the W4 BlackBerry player, you can create brand new applications for mobiles, but you can also make your existing W4 apps mobile at no additional cost! It works both by dynamically taking into account model configuration and by automatically adapting the screens on the used device.
