Word Checker (WC) has evolved. A simple utility to check whether your words are acceptable to use in various word games such such as: Scrabble, lexilous, Words with Friends and WordFeud. Using the popular SOWPODS dictionary (American and British English - used internationally for tournaments), TWL (U.S. Canada and Thailand) and ENABLE this application sorts out whether you are a lexical master or just a syntactical blagger.
In this version the entire SOWPODS, TWL and ENABLE dictionaries are stored on your system in a relatively small installation. The UI can now be swiped (left and right) to access easy settings and a preview of the Word Checker Pro scoring system. Definitions sadly have had to be moved to a paid version due to the popularity of the project.
Word Checker is not trying to make you cheat. Word Checker is here to confirm or deny your lexical genius and to provide a helpful definition when the inevitable arguments start.
