The WoWo - Words for the World game is intended to help you enhance your writing skills and Geography knowledge. This game covers basic school subjects: numbers, geometry, animals and also the challenging Geography subject.
When starting a new WoWo game you may choose a domain for it: Funny, Flags, Capitals or Challenge.
The game principle: one image is displayed according to the selected domain and the user must tell what it represents.
WoWo uses two basic types of questions according to how the user should give the answer.
For the Funny domain, the first type of questions are used, namely a question with an image under which the user should write what the image represents. Then the user should press the Validate button. His answer is validated and the answer page will be diplayed. This page contains: the image, the user's answer, the correct answer and the current score. The user can leave the test by pressing the Finish Test button.
The player's score is determined by the correct number of image/word matches. If, at the end of the game, the player's score is higher than his previous score, the current score will overwrite the previous score. Otherwise the current score is not saved. The high scores are displayed in descending order.
For the other domains: Flags, Capitals or Challenge the second type of questions is used.
To give the answer the user should choose from the given options (4 choices) and then press the Validate button. The answer page contains the same information as for the first type of questions.
For the Challenge domain questions the user may continue to play the game until a maximum number of wrong answers is reached. In this situation the game ends and the current score will be saved.
For the other domains the user may continue to play until he presses the Finish Test button. In this case no score will be saved. These domains can be considered learning domains.
