One of the six major mistakes that I have found is that the music for the game was poorly chosen. Need for Speed Most Wanted uses weird retro music not suitable for a game where you race and run from police officers. This game should play music that is intense like rap, rock, and hip-hop. I have actually had to make a playlist for the game, and most people prefer not to make a playlist.

Another thing that frustrated me so much is that I can go two hundred miles an hour and split a police car in half, but I crash when I hit a civilian car going fifty miles an hour. This really bothers a player when he or she is trying to evade the police, or trying to get first place in a difficult race. I know this from many personal experiences.

Most gamers want games to be as authentic as possible, this makes the game more enjoyable. For example, the player's headlights (when they are on) actually illuminate objects; while the AI headlights are on and they do not illuminate a thing. To explain it further, if I were walking through the slums in Venezuela and saw a rickety, little hut and in the garage I saw a Lamborghini; the hut makes the Lamborghini look ugly, and you cannot stop looking at the car because is stands out so much.

The crash and take down cameras are annoying, when I am racing or evading the police, and I crash into someone or get taken down I do not want to watch how my Bugatti slams into the railing. I want to star over, and keep racing. The crash and take down cameras should cut down two seconds, (unless the player is online) because I understand you still have to show the player he or she crashed when it happens. The AI crash delay can stay the same, because they are programmed to lose.

The AI needs to be smarter, for example when I hear a police officer say he or she is going to try to use the pit maneuver the police officer should be speeding up to actually attempt to do it. The civilian AI can stay stupid it is funny watching what they do when they crash.

The fact that the story mode was taken away for this game actually hurt me. Not only that, there was no currency in the game, taking away the players will to beat the game; due to the fact that the player is given cars and the only way he or she would lose a race is if they crashed.

I do have some suggestions for the next Need for Speed game. The game was hard not to beat so please make the game a little harder. It would be cool if I could buy armor to make the smallest car take on a SUV and win. It would be great if while the you are in free drive and you witness another street race and you can decide to join in, (it's a street race anything goes, and you aren't the only street racer out there). It would be even cooler if you spot an AI rival and catch up with him or her and challenge them to a race.
