The GeomagInfo is an application for Ewe enabled computers to compute the magnetic declination, inclination, and magnitude for any location on Earth.
Its main use is to give the current magnetic declination to correct a magnetic compass. This application is most useful for those hiking and traveling without topographic maps in unfamiliar territory. A magnetic compass can be off by many 10's of degrees in parts of the world. This application is also useful for correcting the magnetic declination of old topographic maps and navigation charts.
New 2010 Geomagnetic Models
Geomagnetic Models are published, and accurate for a 5 year period. To-date WMM-2010 and IGRF-2010 are available.
These 2005 models are incorporated in the Bld:510 geomag10.zip, but not the 2010 versions so you must Download the 2010 models. Put them in the same directory as the 2005 models.
