Developer bumuckl was recently able to come up with a neat homebrew application which allows you to extract some of the visual contents of an EBOOT.PBP file and dump them into your PlayStation Portable.
While there have been previously released programs with similar functions, Eb0x directly extracts any thumbnails and preview images from the EBOOT.PBP file right into your handheld. Homebrew applications such as PBP Unpacker and SeiPSPTool require all file extractions to be done on a PC.
As of the time of this article's publishing, Eb0x v1.0 is able to extract the following files:
-Icon0.png
-Pic1.png
-Param.sfo
-Data.psp
The developer mentioned that Snd0.at3 and .psf-video files are not yet extractable using the application. Hopefully, a future build of Eb0x will be able to achieve this and further enhance its functionality for PSP users.
In any case, if you plan on installing this app into your handheld, don't forget to check out the Readme.txt file included in the bundle for more details on how the program works.
