Here's some more Sesame Street approach for aspiring Kanji experts. Homebrew developer billylee8 has released PSP Kanji Learner Set 2 over at the QJ.NET PSP Forums.
For starters, the Sony PlayStation Portable application runs a series of instructional video flash cards on how to write these complicated Chinese-based Japanese characters. Those who have mastered Set 1's eighty Grade 1 kanji will be delighted to work on PSP Kanji Learner Set 2's 160 Grade 2 characters.
If you think 160 is already a lot, wait until the entire project finishes. billylee8 has indicated that this is just the third update in a series of twelve. There are 1,945 daily use kanji including the 1,006 edicational ones, all of which the developer intends to represent with a video flash card each.
But as they say, haste makes waste, thus, billylee8 plans to only create cards for twenty kanji a day (or every other day). Have a say about the app? Head over the forums for your feedback. Make sure to also check the readme for more information.

When it comes to translating Asian languages to English, we have to say we're no big fans of Babelfish. But it's free and Babelfish mis-translations never fail to amuse us, plus we just love the name (Babelfish) so we're not really complaining. If you feel the same way about Babelfish this is something of a good news
