Homebrew coder wn has released a test version of his QuickBoot plugin, a handy hombrew tool that allows you to start another GAME, POPS or ISO without returning to the XMB.

How to Install
Copy quick_boot.prx to the /seplugins.
Add quick_boot.prx path to the game.txt and pops.txt
Download latest cmlibMenu and copy "lib" folder to the /seplugins. (cmlibMenu is here http://code.google.com/p/prx-common-libraries/downloads/list)
Controls:
NOTE Button to open the menu.
CROSS to execute.
CIRCLE or NOTE to close menu.
