PS3 Game Updater - Need to download game patches without connecting to the PSN? This Rudi Rastelli tool makes it simple!
Rudi Rastelli is most known for his PS3 ISO TOOLS, but he has also made some significant progress with PS3 Game Updater as well. As the name implies, this tool downloads game patches in ISO, PKG, or folder format. These can then be installed on modified consoles without connecting to the PSN and risking a ban. The app also includes added luxuries like resuming incomplete downloads, skipping current games, and deleting old patches too. This particular update fixes a bug that caused complete downloads to display as incomplete. See the full release notes below!
UPDATE PS3 Game Updater v0.95
Changelog v0.95
Fixed the bug which adds "INCOMPLETE_" to filenames even when the download isn't incomplete
Feature-List:
Obtain PS3 game update(s) by simply selecting a game in one of it's 3 usual formats(PKG / ISO / Folder).
Aborted downloads will be resumed
Already downloaded not outdated game-updates will be skipped
Outdated game-updates will optionally be deleted
The update-files(*.pkg) get well readable names... thx @aldotools database
In Normal-Mode you can select which game-updates to download or not
Batch-Mode to download all updates for all(or selected) games of a game-archive
PKG-Extractor via 'Extra'-menu (should be able to extract any "*.pkg"-file... not even update-files)
Usage:
Hopefully self-explanatory... read the tool-tips
Notes:
Updates will be stored to the folder u've selected on 1st start... You can change that folder via 'Extra'-menu
This folder is kind of an game-updates-archive.
If you don't select anything here a "MyPS3GamesUpdates"-folder will be created and used inside progam-folder
Using the "Delete outdated Updates"-option in batch-mode allows you to clean up your game-updates-archive and keep it up-to-date.
Tip: To "clean up" only: Activate batch-mode -> Select your game-archiv -> Select NO game -> [Download]-Button
If database('database.txt') isn't there for ISOs and folders the game-name from "PARAM.SFO", for PKGs the name of "*.pkg"-file and for manually entering the GameID the GAMEID itself will be used.
In batch mode select a game-archive-folder. E.g ".../GAMES/", ".../PS3ISO/", ".../MyPSNGames/" etc etc Or... select a text-list. Example for a typical valid text line: "BLUS12345WHATEVER_YOU_LIKE_TO_WRITE_HERE"
Extracted PKG-files will be stored in a folder with same name and at the same directory as the PKG-file
Regards
Rudi
