Types of Quizzes:
Antonym - The object is to select the word that best expresses the opposite meaning of the question word. For instance, if the question word is miserly and the answer choices are cheerful, generous, parsimonious, recalcitrant, and insidious, the answer is generous, since miserly means to hoard money.
Definition - The object is to select the word that best matches the definition. For instance, if the definition is, "Resembling or characteristic of the cat family.", and the answer choices are canine, elephantine, feline, and serpentine, the correct answer is feline.
Odd man out - The object is to select the word that doesn't belong with the others. For instance, if the topic is seasons and the choices are genial, hibernal, vernal, estival, and autumnal, the correct answer is genial since genial is a cheerful and friendly person, while hibernal, vernal, estival, and autumnal are all seasons of the year.
Sentence completion - The object is to select the word that best completes the sentence. For instance, if the question is, "To balance the books and pay the proper amount of taxes, the accountant said he needed actual revenues and expenses and not ______ estimates.", and the answer choices are arid, condense, nebulous, and circumlocutory, the correct answer is nebulous.
Synonym - The object is to select all the words that are similar in meaning to the question word. For instance, if the target word is humorous and the answer choices are droll, perilous, dour, jocose, and risible, the correct choices are droll, jocose, and risible.
Word Order - Three to five answer choices must be put into a specified order. For instance, if the question topic is musical voice, the instruction text is order from highest to lowest, and the choices are tenor, alto, baritone, soprano, and bass, the correct order is soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass.
