PocketSnook - The Snook and Ciriello (Liberty Mutual) tables of weights and forces are frequently used during evaluation and design of manual tasks involving lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
Currently in beta, PocketSnook enables you to access the content from these tables simply by selecting the appropriate task parameters for the task of interest.
The printed tables on which this software is based were originally published in the following article:
Snook, S.H. and Ciriello, V.M.: "The design of manual handling tasks: revised tables of maximum acceptable weights and forces." Ergonomics, 34:1197-1213 (1991).
As beta software, some features are currently unavailable. At present, PocketSnook contains lifting and lowering tables only; the remainder will be added in future releases.
PocketSnook should only be used and applied by someone trained in the field of ergonomics, health and safety, human factors, or a similar field.
