pongz is a two-dimensional sports game loosely based on tennis. The player controls an in-game paddle by moving it vertically across one side of the field, and competes against a computer controlled opponent.
Players use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. The aim is for a player to earn more points than the opponent; points are earned when one fails to return the ball to the other. The points mimic the tennis game, "love, 15, 30, 40 and game".
The size of each player's paddle is governed by his global scores; e.g. a top player gets a smaller paddle against a rookie, but two rookies get the same paddle's size.
AI opponents have distinct characteristics, different on the speed of movement, the precision of placement, the reaction time, and the target position.
The trial version is as the full version, except that global leaderboards are not shown, but each game is recorded for points. If you unlock the game later on, you will have all your "trial" games points.

Next full version (next to Mango phone version) will allow players to compete against a human opponent, either locally, sharing the screen, or online, using Windows Phone 7, Windows PC or Xbox 360. Also, a player's ranking will be independent of the platform it was played on, and all games contribute to the same rank.
