Weather Station - Weather Station is unique in monitoring severe weather and providing very specific weather alarms for multiple locations. Locations are monitored in real time for current weather conditions, forecast data, and live radar from the National Weather Service. In addition, active weather alerts are monitored and when a locations GPS position is within a severe weather area, an alarm will sound.
The goal of Weather Station is to bring peace of mind to those living in severe weather areas by providing active monitoring of alerts posted by the National Weather Service. By combining the use of the NWS Common Alerting Protocol and GPS location services, a very powerful weather warning system is in the palm of your hand.
Weather Station also provides AMBER, geophysical, meteorological, general emergency and public safety, law enforcement, military, homeland security, rescue and recovery, fire suppression and rescue, medical and public health, pollution, public and private transportation, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive threat or attack alerts. All alerts are received from the NWS CAP system.
Weather Station receives data from the National Weather Services. Weather Station is in no way associated or affiliated with NWS. All data is presented in an unmodified format.
Weather Station was developed in response to the Joplin, MO tornado and is offered completely free of charge.
