  PS3 NAND Dump Extractor

Even before the conclusion of the recent 24th Chaos Communication Congress (24C3) event, a lot of homebrew developers have already been trying their hand at breaking the next gen consoles' code and allowing more end users access to its functions.

In particular, the PS3HaX dev team has come up with a useful tool for fellow homebrew developers which help dumps flash files that Sony upgrades and allows them to take a look at the extracted code.

However, the PS3 NAND Dump Extractor only works if you have the Infectus hardware modification installed on your PS3 console. So hopeful homebrew developers out there who can decipher the mind boggling ones and zeroes the program churns out will definitely find this very helpful.

libLZR This is the initial public release of libLZR - a small open source library that handles the decompression and encoding of LZR-compressed data. (LZR-compression is frequently encountered in PSP firmware resource files.) Decompression results of libLZR should be identical to Sonys internal decompression algorithm. Please report incompatible streams to me
PSPLINK 0.9hPSPLINK 0.9h
PSPLINK 0.9h TyRaNiD, one of my favorite developers, has just updated PSPLINK. In case you've been out for a while, PSPLINK is a great tool for PSP developers. It allows you to do a lot of stuff without going back to the PSP's XMB, or technically, VSH. And that in itself is a great boon for developers

LuaPlayerHM (source code) Hey all, I haven't been able to do much psp programing since starting university, so i have decided to release my source for LPHMv3. Also included is the source code for the lua core that LPHMv3 uses. This core is optimised alot for the psp. I hope this helps out other developers. Please support LuaPlayer Euphoria, and PGE
Raptor3DRaptor3D
Raptor3D Just the other day, we had the LTE studios people releasing their custom-made 3D engines for homebrew developers. And since I wasn't quite expecting it, I was pleasantly surprised. And again, I wasn't expecting any other engines. Atleast not so soon! Well, it's nice to be surprised once in a while
Dow!Dow!
Dow! February saw the first release of Dow!, which in itself is a peculiar name for a program meant to mean "Develop on the go!" But behind the name lay an impressive Lua homebrew development application, if you had a PSP Fat (a.k.a PSP-1000) of course. Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew coder bumuckl broke that barrier with Dow! version 0
