Nintendo disproves opinion of some gamers that games used to be better before. Metroid Zero Mission, which is regarded to be a regular retelling of the events of the first part, has improved not only its technical side, but also saturation/variety of gameplay and new plot turns. To compare, this game offers to play the original NES version, which will be unblocked as soon as you complete the game.
