Speak Message Service is a Android application which automatically reads out certain whitelisted SMS messages automatically, by using the Eyes free TTS library for Android.
An example use case is automated SMSs from network monitoring systems. When you're woken up at 3AM by a spurious notification letting you know some mission critical system has been restored, you can now hear that, and then go straight back to sleep.
By default, you must nominate specific senders whose SMSs you want to have read out. You can choose either from your contacts, or enter text strings that are matched directly to the incoming number. (Eg, enter 'Google' to have your Google Calendar reminders read out automatically, as you can't make a contact with a text phone number).
Speak Message Server requires the TTS libraries to be installed to work, and prompts you to install it if you don't already have it installed
