Bites is a cook book application for Android. Recipes can be created and shared with friends via sms. Pick a recipe to make and tick off the ingredients in the cupboard, then add the ones you need to a shopping list or sms them to someone to pick up for you.
Usage Scenario
You decide to make your famous fish curry for yourself, your partner and a couple of guests, so you grab your phone open the fish curry recipe and check off the ingredients that you have in the cupboard. The ingredients not checked off can now be added to a shopping list or sent via message to your partner who is on the way home from work so they can pick them up. Your guests love the fish curry and ask you for the recipe, you simply grab your phone, select the recipe and send it via message to any phone with Bites installed. Even people without Bites on their phone can receive the recipe as plain text, they'll just have to ignore the xml looking bits.

· Recipe.xml file format updated to include author and description fields
· Intent filters modified to open recipe files open from more websites
