VLC for Android - VLC is a port of the famous open source, cross-platform media player to the Android platform. The software supports almost all video formats, including AVI, MKV, MPEG, WMV, MP4, MOV, 3GP and others, without any prior conversion required. With VLC, you can watch movies stored locally on your device, or streamed directly to your smartphone or tablet via HLS, MMS or RTSP protocols.
The app features a built-in media library that allows you to easily find audio and video files to play. You can also find files the traditional way by browsing folders directly.
VLC sports an intuitive interface and enables you to easily adjust volume and brightness using touch gestures. Also included is a handy widget that allows you to control audio playback right from the home screen.
Other notable features of the software include auto-rotation, support for subtitles, cover art, aspect-ratio adjustment, support for audio headsets control, etc.
