Mobilex GPS Logger - Overview ========================== The Android GPS Logger application captures GPS updates, and saves latitude and longitude coordinate fixes to text files on micro SD card. Supported Features inlcude: ============================== Google Maps. Satellite, Traffic and Street Views. Geo-coding and Reverse Geocoding (address look ups) Zoom (In and Out) Map Panning Hand Gestures support Geodesic distance calculator using WGS84 ellipsoid Android GPS Logger graphically displays the user's position on Google maps, with a feature to begin or stop logging GPS fixes in .kml or .txt file formats on a local micro SD card Example of file format: 43.482258333333334 -80.54135694444444 By default, the application captures latitude and longitude information; newly introduced options to capture Elevation, Bearing and Speed information are available in the app. Press the 'h' key for relevant hot keys. If all five GPS parameters are enabled, GPX fixes are saved according to the following formet (Latitude, Longitude, Altitude, Speed, Bearing). Longitude and Latitude values are in degrees, Altitutde (km), speed (m/s or km/hr), Bearing (in degrees East of true North). Other features include, Zoom in/Zoom out, Map Panning, Autonomous/Assisted GPS mode options, map view resets (street view, satellite view, traffic view), geo-coding and reverse geo-coding (voice except in Android GPS Logger with voice) option, converting text information to speech.
