Kai's Sun Compass.Net - This program provides you with a real compass.
Point in winter time the blue indicator at the sun and read then the cardinal points. In the summer time (DST) use the red indicator. These indicators show the actual time, in this case it is 2:58 p.m. and the sun stands in south west.

GPSpeed combines the functionality of a GPS based speedometer and compass. It allows you to store locations (current location or enter any location by GPS coordinates) and track you to a stored location. 3. Select between MPH and KPH.
4. The screen updates every 0.5 sec.
