Pocket World InfoPack includes an information database of 192 countries and 1150+ cities of the world. It consists of three independent tools:
1. World Quick Facts:
This tool is the default one when the program is first started. At the top of the screen you can find a combo box with which you can select one of the 192 independent countries of the world. Below combo box there is full color flag of the selected country on the left and continent info (blue box), country plate code (redbox) and international diang code(ICC) (green box) on the right.
There's a radio button on the bottom. If you select Facts section the following information is displayed about the selected country:
Population
Area
Capital
Time Zone
Currency
Currency Code
Phone Code-ICC (International Country Calling Code)
Phone Code-IDD (International Direct Dialing Code)
Phone Code-NDD (National Direct Dialing Code)
Internet Code
Plate Code
Electricity Standard
If you select Cities&Area Codes section the major cities of the selected country and area phone codes for each city are displayed. Capital of the country is also indicated as the first entry.
2. Distance Calculator:
This tool includes a database of total of 1150+ world city coordinates, i.e. latitudes and longitudes. You can select any two cities from the combo boxes. Distance and the direction between these cities are calculated and displayed automatically. Distances are given in both kms and miles. Angle of direction is also given in degrees. Besides you can overwrite and enter any coordinates you wish and calculate the distance and the direction between any two points on the earth.
3. Geography Quiz:
This tool is designed for full of fun. Quiz questions and answers are dynamically and randomly generated and therefore you do not see the same question again and again. There are three types of question:
Flag Question:
Displays a flag image at the top and asks the country it belongs to.
Capital Quesiton:
Declares a capital and asks the country it belongs to.
City Question:
Declares a city and asks the country it belongs to.
