A Conservative Version is a modern English version of the Bible translated by Dr. Walter L. Porter. The OT is based on the American Standard Version, in which mostly minor word changes have been made. The NT is based on an edition compiled by M. A. Robinson and W. G. Pierpont. The old english pronouns (thee, thy, etc) have been kept because they provide more information than the often ambiguous word 'you'.
