Foundation Spanish - 1 - It is most important for Spanish beginners to understand the differences between the verbs 'ser' and 'estar', and to distinguish when each should be used.
This module looks at the different ways the Spanish language employs these two verbs, and provides an introduction to the treatment of masculine and feminine nouns.
Designed for the absolute beginner, the module involves a step-by-step learning process that will provide you with a basic foundation for learning the Spanish language.
Method
You will follow a series of scenes that start with basic language concepts and move onto practical examples containing dialogue from simple conversations.
Where applicable, each scene includes contextual access to vocabulary, phrases, verb tables, mini tests and language translation to aid your learning experience.
Scenario
After an introduction to basic grammar, you will follow a series of scenes that include: meeting somebody for the first time, a conversation between friends, and a conversation about work.
The final section is devoted to the use of numbers in the Spanish language.
