Discovery Channel HD - Welcome to the Discovery Channel iPad application. Our goal is to offer you an app that compliments your favorite Discovery Channel shows and wows you with beautiful imagery, social media, great content and TV schedule information based on your location.
Watch video from Discovery’s award-winning shows, and chat with show hosts and fans through Facebook and Twitter. Have fun with the imagery we created in the Shows tab in both portrait and landscape modes. We think you’ll really like it and we had fun building it!
The app includes the following sections:
Featured: See what's on prime time tonight in your location. When you find something you want to watch, tap the alarm clock to set a tune-in reminder. Also, scroll through the featured shows and videos for a taste of what's on TV.
Shows: Watch video, learn more about the show and cast, and browse through photos from production photography shoots. This is also where you initiate your Chat session with show hosts and fans, check the TV schedule for a particular show and buy full episodes through iTunes.
If your favorite show is on during prime time, tap on the I'm Watching button to check in and let you’re friends on Facebook and Twitter know what you’re watching, all while you get the latest social media updates from Discovery and joining the conversation with fellow fans.
Schedule: Browse Discovery Channel's full TV schedule for up to two weeks. If you find something interesting, tap the alarm clock to schedule a tune-in reminder.
