*N OTE*: Sometimes, in order to get Custom Folder icon to work, you must create a new folder. Simplest way is to delete all your old pre-made folders from the BB storm, just select the folder hit BB key and delete. It will move all the files inside to your home screen, just create a new folder with the same name and move the files back inside. Tedious, yes, but will fix if custom folders dont show up.
