CellMapper (BlackBerry) is a BlackBerry application which is used to help map the extent of cell phone towers coverage. The program records the location, using built-in GPS, and the cell phone tower signal and information at that location. It is able to both upload the information directly to the database or generate a CSV file in order to be uploaded later (for those that do not have a data plan).
What's New in This Release: · CellID for UMTS cells is now constructed from the BSIC and CID if a BSIC is present, otherwise the CID is the CID
· CSV file logging for offline/non data connected handhelds is supported; CSV files are stored in /device/home/user as cellmapper_< DATE >_< TIME >.csv; via the File logger menu
· The current cell settings and location can be Emailed by selecting the "Send current" menu option
· Status bar displays live updates when updating the server, and/or if file updating is active.
· New application icon, a cell tower with a magnifying glass.
· Miscellaneous other things
