...bloody, but unbowed - We’re a Street RocknRoll band from Dallas, Texas. We formed about 4 years ago in Arlington ,Tx. We quickly became a regular band in the Dallas Hardcore scene despite not really being a hardcore act @ the time. We have always been a mix of punk and something else. We are rooted in rock n roll, but our musical loves go from 77 style street rock, traditional rockabilly, psychobilly, Oi!, classic country, blues and mod rock. Over the years we’ve grown into our own sound. We haven’t stayed the punk rock band we were, but we haven’t forgotten where we came from or why were here.
SFS has always tried our best to put on the kind of show that leaves you smiling and happy to be alive. Our passion for life and our thirst for experience have been subjects ringing thru our songs since we started. We sing the sad and true happiness stories of life, sooner or later, well even tell your story.
Most of our songs are confessions, reflections and open letters. The struggle, the lessons, and the reward of living and being an (A)merican youth trying to figure out the joke, are themes that have been prevalent in our songwriting since our inception.
Smile For Society tells the truth how we live it, how we know those around us live it. SFS wants you to Sing Along, and its the reason we do this and write like we do and for who we do. We want our music to give you a reason not to feel alone. We want to sing the truth, today like everyday, the only way we know how.
