Block Shuffle is a touch screen game which involves you moving the free blocks in and out of the stack of blocks to create lines of matching blocks.
You can touch the screen to where you want the green android to take the free blocks. If you touch the screen on the opposite side of the stack to where the green android currently is, it will try to push the blocks into the stack at the first opportunity. Be careful that the blocks are lined up correctly. Also, you cannot push more blocks into the stack while it is refilling.
You can shuffle the free blocks by pressing the trackball. The trackball can also be used to move the green android but this is usually slower than touching the screen.
By shuffling the coloured blocks into lines of three or more, either horizontally or vertically, they can be eliminated from the stack. If there are any grey blocks adjacent to the coloured blocks when they are eliminated, they take on the colour of the eliminated block. The gaps left by the eliminated blocks are filled by the blocks above, with more blocks being added from the top as necessary.
Your progress is measured by the coloured bar on the right of the screen. The longer the eliminated lines and the more lines you eliminate in one go, the faster you progress.
To make it more difficult, a shadow starts creeping up from the bottom and you must complete the level before the shadow reaches the top. The shadow is pushed back slightly every time you complete a line. It can be pushed right back to the bottom by completing a line of golden androids, which also shine through the shadow.
When sufficient coloured blocks have been eliminated, the stack resets with a deconstructed android, which you need to reassemble to complete the level. This time there is no way to stop the shadow from creeping up so you may need to hurry or be more creative when moving the pieces around.
There are three mode of play, 2 vertical blocks, 2 horizontal blocks, and 4 blocks in a square
