OurTown - Welcome to the OurTown App, a mobile application for South Carolina’s communities.
OurTown was developed by Outlier Apps LLC in partnership with Seed Labs.
Offering up-to-date information on community activities and regional news, OurTown is the central source for what’s going on in your community throughout the year. OurTown highlights the local business community by showcasing what businesses offer, where they’re located, and, often times, company history.
Due to the continuous use of the app for event and news information, users are able to connect to the business community at all times and from the palm of their hands.
OurTown is strengthening the bonds of your community.
Features Include:
Events and Custom Schedule: See details on upcoming events happening in your community. You can filter your display by types of events, favorite events, and events coming up in the next seven days. Events include, sports, festivals, banquets, art shows, holidays, and antique open houses.
Event Details: Click on any event to see a description of the event, as well as pertinent details about the event. You'll also have access to a set of links to navigate you to the website specific to each event and a link to provide a map of where the event is taking place.
Business Listings: Businesses are listed in five different categories – Dining & Entertainment, Shopping, Medical, Home & Construction, and Services. Each category will provide you with a searchable list of businesses within each category. Search by keyword or business name, and be provided with a complete list of businesses.
News, Facebook, Twitter Feeds: Get up-to-the-moment news and information through a variety of regional news sources by having direct access to Facebook, Twitter and news streams specific to the community.
Weather: Through a direct feed from Weather Underground, find up-to-date weather forecasts for your community.
Our Town will begin in Walterboro and grow throughout South Carolina and beyond. Enjoy!
