Solar Storm offers lots of functions and features while still provide loads of room to show off and display your favorite wallpapers.
Solar Storm has a large clock display in an easy to read font. The theme is very functional, offering 14 application icons; 12 in the icon dock, 1 static and 1 hidden; all user customizable. There are 9 hidden static hot spots (including one for QuickLaunch and BerryWeather). That's a total of 23 application/functions available from the home screen.
Besides loads of functions, you can also hide the icon dock to open an even larger area on your wallpaper to display your custom wallpaper.
Speaking of the icon dock, something unique to Solar Storm is the orbiting application icons. There are a two sets of applications displayed (6 applications each). Simply touch the screen to set the icons in orbit around the icon dock. The display is fast and non-intrusive to the user experience.
A custom "Hidden Today" display is also included. The "Hidden Today" lets you quickly view your calendar, message and SMS text messages, and then easily hide it away when not needed just by touching the screen. To hide the "Hidden Today" simply touch the page curl (bottom right of the Hidden Roday backdrop).
The theme is also available in four different colors, Black, Red, Blue and Martian Green. Besides the custom colors the theme also features a custom icon set and has been fully skinned to reflect your theme color.
The usual hotspots are also included:
* Signal Meter = Manage Connections,
* Clock = Clock
* Battery Meter = Options
* Message and Calender hot spot w/hidden today (touch to display the hidden today)
* Profiles shortcut
*** The "Lite" version is a "lighter" version of the regular Solar Storm theme. "Lite" is only available in Black and does not include the Hidden Today, Orbiting Icon Dock or any of the hot spots in the center of the screen (BerryWeather, QuickLaunch, AppList and Application 14). No additional colors will be offered for the Lite version. ***
NOTE: QuickLaunch and BerryWeather are NOT included with this theme.
