Belle Pliane Chamber of Commerce - The Belle Plaine Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization driven by its members to support and encourage a vital and prosperous business community. We are a business advocate and resource, as well as a community partner. We believe that "Business Building Businesses Together" is what it's all about! We offer our members networking, advertising, and business development opportunities, as well as a web presence through our online business directory. The Chamber sponsors several events throughout the year, including an Annual Dinner recognizing new businesses, a Wedding Expo, Golf Tournament, Business Trick-or-Treat, and a Holiday Tree Lighting. To showcase our agricultural community and location as the last stop on the Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway, annually the Chamber hosts a ½ Marathon, 5K, and kid’s fun run in October. The event draws hundreds of runners and their families from Mankato to the Twin Cities. Besides the race, participants enjoy a craft fair and farmer’s market, live music, food, beer garden, and inflatable bounce houses. The Chamber of Commerce also coordinates the annual Bar-B-Q Days Festival. For three days our community and supporters gather in town for festivities that include a parade, bands, fireworks, rides, and so much more! Our success is due to the incredible number of volunteers who generously give of their time and talents to showcase our dynamic community. Each year the majority of the profits generated by Bar-B-Q Days are donated back for community projects in Belle Plaine. There are many reasons to join in the festivities. Carnival rides, beef sandwiches, beer garden, 5K and fun run, parade and the queen coronation, just to name a few. The entire celebration ends with a spectacular fireworks display at the baseball field on Sunday evening. Our Bar-B-Q Days celebration is one not to be missed as thousands can attest to each and every summer. The City of Belle Plaine provides residents and visitors with wide streets, many beautiful parks, a great school district, a large number of civic and social clubs, golf courses, churches and a vibrant commercial district. Located on the Minnesota River, Belle Plaine overlooks the scenic river valley, offering many recreational activities.
