TwitterDroid lets you read and publish to your Twitter, it is a kind of port of Twitterific, the excellent application for MacOS X.
TwitterDroid 0.1.2 is an early alpha stage software but it is already functional - you can read the latest 20 tweets from your friends and publish a post to your own timeline.
The application still lacks configuration, robustness and notifications. Anyway, it's worth trying.
