Motorola DROID X maintenance upgrade from Verizon Wireless.
Instructions:
1. Download "update.zip" to the root of your SD card.
2. Do not unzip or rename the file.
3. With the "update.zip" file on your SD card and not in a folder, power off your mobile phone.
4. Boot into recovery mode by holding down "Home" and then "Power" until you see an exclamation mark.
5. Then press the "Search" button and you will enter recovery.
6. Using the volume keys, highlight "apply update.zip" and press in the camera button.
7. The update will now be applied.

· Eliminated camera “Force Close” errors;
· Device lock remains, even after a long, hard key press;
· Quicker wake-up of display when on a call

Steps 3 and 4 Do nothing on my xt311 I have tried it about 10 times and it still boots up like normal. Holding home+power+volume up or volume down and that did not work either.
