  ASE Appropriateness Criteria - The Transthoracic and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TTE/TEE) Appropriateness Criteria Tool, developed by the American Society of Echocardiography and American College of Cardiology, provides a quick reference list of common appropriate and inappropriate uses of echocardiography.

Based on the 59 published clinical scenarios, the tool allows clinicians to drill down to the scenario most relevant to their patient quickly and easily from one main index. The tool is especially relevant for internists, family practitioners, and cardiologists who want a point of care reference.
