Planet Wars - Planet Wars is a top-down alien shooter. Simple controls make the game easy and fun to play- use one thumb to control movement, the other to fire.
The real meat of the gameplay lies in earning credits, which you can spend on upgrading your weapons by buying different components. Your weapon has 5 different upgradable parts, this means you can completely customize your gun to suit your style of play. There are over 70 different items and components in the game with which to do this, including 17 core weapons which range from standard rifles to flame-throwers and rocket launchers:
Make a fast firing sniper rifle with exploding rounds, or a deadly powerful shotgun with a bayonet for close encounters!
The main campaign features 10 missions, narrated with graphic novel style illustrations.
There is also a survival mode in which to compete for high scores online using GameCenter leaderboards. Playing these also earn you extra credits in which to upgrade your armory.
There are also elements of strategy, as some levels will have you building a base to defend against the horde, in tower-defense style gameplay.
