Rain Alert for Singapore - Rescue your car and property from the Singapore Flood! Add the places (e.g. Bukit Timah, City, and many others) you want to monitor. When the place rains, you get a customized alert. The first and only application that gives you advance rain warnings in Singapore round-the-clock using push notification. Using up-to-date weather forecasts from National Environment Agency (NEA), Flood Alert detects weather changes and sends alerts to your iPhone/iPod.
You can choose to be alerted when it rains, when there's any weather change, or at every hour. The rain alerts come with thunder and rain sound effects. Rain Alert also provides easy access to NEA's weather website.
It's free to get alerts. You are not charged for receiving the alerts. Alerts are sent using Apple Push Notification Service which is a free service for iPhone/iPod. You get the alerts even when your phone is off or the app is not the active app. The alert appears like an SMS on your device.
The weather forecasts are provided by NEA free to the public which can be found on the Weather@SG website. The advantage of Rain Alert is that you get automatic customized weather push alerts for places you are interested in without any need to constantly and manually check the website.
