Muscle System - (Original Series) - iPhone edition - Ideal for students and anyone interested in the human body and how it works. It has been designed for users with anywhere from a basic to advanced level of anatomical medical knowledge. It is far more interactive than flash cards with several amazing features and an interactive quiz section for testing your musculoskeletal knowledge.
It can be used as a powerful reference tool that allows the user to zoom in and identify an individual muscle or articulation.
HOW TO USE:
The user is presented with a high-quality anatomical model of the full skeleton with musculature. The user can zoom in to any area by tapping on that region - tapping again will zoom in further. The user can then label the chosen section by pressing on the flags icon. Each label will have an 'i' icon that the user can press to access additional information on a particular label. There is also a Magnification Mode that greatly magnifies a chosen section, allowing the user to more easily press on flags that are close together.
INDEX:
The application can also be used as a visual reference tool by using the index function. By selecting a name from the index - the application will take the user to the relevant muscle/label and highlight it.
VIEWS:
Throughout the app - even while zooming in - the user can choose from a number of different views - lateral, posterior, medial and even inferior and superior where appropriate.
QUIZ:
This is a fun testing tool where the user can test their knowledge - the user is asked which area they would like to be tested on - and then the application asks them to zoom in and identify individual muscles or part of a muscle. If after three attempts the user is unable to identify the label he/she can ask the app to show them.
