The Environmental Working Group analyzed 87,000 tests for presticide residues collected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The results were this list of 49 fruits and vegetables ranked by pesticide residue.
By avoiding the worst fruits and vegetables and eating the cleanest (or organic), consumers can reduce pesticide exposure by 80 percent.
